About the event
Travel back to the days of cowhunters and open prairies as we explore Florida's early ranching history! Join the Ag Museum and Palmetto Library to discover the differences between cowhunters and cowboys and learn how Florida's cattle ranching past shaped local agriculture.
Hear a local history talk on Florida's cattle ranching past led by the Ag Museum's Community Engagement Coordinator Kel Roth.
Join a book discussion led by Palmetto librarian Kira Thoenes touching on A Land Remembered by Patrick D. Smith and Biscuits and 'Taters: A History of Cattle Ranching in Manatee County by Joe Warner.
Enjoy a guided tour of the Ag Museum led by Supervisor Diane Ingram.
