About the event
This roughly 2-hour walk will highlight some of the historic buildings in the downtown Palmetto and Manatee River riverfront areas. Included is a tour of the Palmetto Riverside Bed & Breakfast, a historic Sears and Roebuck home that was built by J. A. Lamb, who was the son of Palmetto town founder, Samuel Sparks Lamb. Please dress weather appropriate and wear comfortable shoes, as we will be taking a leisurely mile walk. Visitors may ONLY register for ONE of our two special tours due to limited space—EITHER this Walking Tour of Palmetto OR the Historic House Tour. Additionally, if you have enjoyed this tour in years past, we encourage you to refrain from registering to allow others to enjoy this unique, annual opportunity. Thank you.
