What's a cardboard challenge?
Families will design and build something out of cardboard, recycled materials, and imagination inspired by the prompts that will posted around the Palmetto Historical Park and Manatee County Agricultural Museum. This event will foster creativity, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and more as they engage in creative play.
The Global Cardboard Challenge is an annual initiative of Imagination.org. Inspired by the short film, 'Caine's Arcade', the Cardboard Challenge is a worldwide celebration of child creativity, and the role communities can play in fostering it. We encourage you to watch the original short film on YouTube to see the inspiration for this event!

Starting September 16th, we are accepting cardboard boxes, toilet paper and paper towel rolls, cereal boxes, fabric scraps, twine, yarn, ribbon, cardboard egg cartons, ping pong balls, craft sticks, and any other CLEAN cardboard-like item that can be used at this event.
If you are able to save up any of these supplies that can be used by families on October 4th, please bring them in during our open hours. Thank you!
